Job Description and Responsibilities

Administrative Assistant:  Risk Management-Safety and Loss Control

This is a great opportunity for a strong administrative professional that can maintain confidential information, has excellent written/verbal communication skills, proficiency with computers and large data bases and want to grow within the Risk Management field.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • General administrative assistance to the Risk Manager 
  • Set up of all litigation files, both digital (computer) and hard files. 
  • Ensure confidentiality regarding all matters/claims etc. 
  • Maintain confidential claim files 
  • Schedule and organize semi-annual safety conferences 
  • Develop monthly safety statistical reports and monthly insurance loss reports 
  • Maintain access to the insurance computer system, review and monitor claim handling 
  • Monitor insurance system for accuracy of claim submissions and incident reports 
  • Respond to insurance adjusters and attorneys regarding coverage and claims 
  • Create presentations using PowerPoint 
  • Work with Insurance Adjusters regarding claim handling issues 
  • Maintain Safety Policies and Procedures Manual
  • Take on additional responsibilities as one grows in this position.

 

 

 

 



 

Job Requirements

  •  Must be able to communicate with individuals from all levels and entities
  •  Must be able to work independently and without daily supervision 
  •  Must be able to prioritize and switch gears when needed
  •  Must be able to maintain 100% confidentiality
  •  Must be experienced with computer software systems(MSWord, Excel,   PowerPoint) and large data bases
  •  HS diploma or equivalent, 3-5 years in a fast paced office environment,   experience with legal issues a plus.
